Everyone is cordially invited to celebrate Santa Kruzan/Flores de Mayo on May 12, 2012.  Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 pm, followed by a procession. Children who wish to participate may contact Agnes Macadangdang at agnesdm@comcast.net or Marivic Matias at mpmatias@pacbell.net.

Santa Kruzan comes from the word “Santa Kruz” which means “Holy Cross.” The festivity commemorates the search of the Holy Cross by Queen Helena (Reyna Elena) and her son, Constantine. The Holy cross is believed to have been the Cross of Christ in Calvary. St. Helena died asking all Christians to celebrate the discovery of the Cross every May.

Fr. Gerald’s Scripture Class will focus on the Resurrection Narratives. The class will be offered for four Tuesdays, (April 24, May 1, 8 and 15) at 7 p.m. in the rectory. Everyone is welcome.
