Anointing of the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick is the sacrament by which Christ comforts and strengthens  those who are dangerously ill due to sickness, injury or old age. The Anointing of the Sick is given by the priest who anoints the sick person on the forehead and hands, saying: “By this holy anointing may the God of mercy fill you with the grace of the Holy
Spirit. Amen. May the Lord who frees you from sin, save you then raise you up. Amen.”
Anointing of the Sick will take place here at St. Leander’s next Saturday, February 4 at 8 a.m. and continues to take place on the first Saturday of each month.

Invitation to serve on Pastoral Council

We are looking for parish members who can serve on the Parish Council. Those interested in serving on the Pastoral Council are invited to attend the Pastoral Council meeting on Tuesday, January 10th at 7 p.m. in the Parish Office Conference Room. The council meets once a month, with Fr. Paul, to study and discuss parish life here at St.Leander. If you would like to serve or can recommend another who you think would be interested in serving on the parish council, send names and contact information to the parish office, drop off a note, give a call, mail the information, or email the parish. Thank you for your help. Or just come on Tuesday evening at 7pm.
