Next Sunday, February 19th,  we welcome parishioners and visitors to join us for coffee and doughnuts after the 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Masses. This month our hosts are the Knights of Columbus.

Pastoral Council meets with Fr. Paul on Tuesday, the 14th of February. Those interested in serving on the Pastoral Council are invited to attend this meeting – 7 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Parish Office. The Pastoral Council serves in an advisory capacity to Fr. Paul and meets monthly.

Ash Wednesday is coming up on
February 22, 2012. You are asked to bring your
palms from Palm Sunday last year to be burned and
used this year. Baskets will be available in the vestibule
of the church.

Tuesday, February 7 – 7 p.m. in the Rectory. If you wish to get events onto the parish calendar to utilize our facilities, this is the time to do it!

The Anointing of the Sick is the sacrament by which Christ comforts and strengthens  those who are dangerously ill due to sickness, injury or old age. The Anointing of the Sick is given by the priest who anoints the sick person on the forehead and hands, saying: “By this holy anointing may the God of mercy fill you with the grace of the Holy
Spirit. Amen. May the Lord who frees you from sin, save you then raise you up. Amen.”
Anointing of the Sick will take place here at St. Leander’s next Saturday, February 4 at 8 a.m. and continues to take place on the first Saturday of each month.
